For several months now, there has been an increase in the number of fraudulent investment proposals designed to defraud investors by using the name, address, logo and/or authorisation number of authorised players, as well as the names of employees of these players (including Amundi).

Amundi advises caution and draws attention to the following points:

  1. Amundi and its subsidiaries never approach individuals directly to offer them a financial product.
  2. Amundi never receives funds directly from individuals.
  3. Amundi products are sold exclusively through intermediaries (private wealth management advisors, bank advisors, independent financial advisors, etc.).

The following signals are warning factors:

  • You do not know the person contacting you.
  • You are promised very high returns without any risk.
  • You are asked to make a decision quickly.
  • You are asked to make a transfer to a foreign bank account.

We advise you to follow the recommendations below:

  • Do not answer unsolicited telephone calls.
  • Do not give out your personal details (telephone number, e-mail address, identity papers, bank details, IBAN, proof of address, etc.) by e-mail or on sites whose reliability you cannot check.
  • Be wary of the information a caller gives you over the phone. The caller may fraudulently pass themselves off as an employee of a well-known company.
  • Research the company the caller claims to work for (telephone, e-mail and postal address) and call the company directly to make sure the caller is really an employee.

In this context, FINMA and the NCSC are alerting the general public on their respective websites, which we also recommend you visit:
